2008 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Thank you for your interest in an Alaska Engineering Education Foundation (AEEF) scholarship. Through AEEF the Alaska Society of Professional Engineers funds a state scholarship for high school seniors who wish to pursue a degree in engineering. Scholarships are awarded at the local level in Anchorage, Juneau and Fairbanks. Information on how to get a scholarship application packet and where you should send it is under construction. Please stay tuned.

PLEASE NOTE -
The National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) has national scholarships available to high school seniors. You must apply directly to NSPE postmarked no later than December 2, 2003 for the scholarships listed below. Scholarships are awarded in January. Contact NSPE at www.NSPE.org/students . The scholarships are:

  • Auxiliary Scholarship awarded to a female applicant--a $4,000 scholarship ($1,000 a year for four years).
  • Virginia D. Henry Memorial Scholarship--also awarded to a female. This is a $1,000 scholarship valid for the freshman year.

AEEF scholarships and NSPE scholarships are limited to high school seniors who will be pursuing a degree in engineering. The Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) must accredit the engineering program at the college or university attended. Should scholarship winners attend a non-accredited school, or not enroll in an engineering program, the scholarship will be forfeited. Funds awarded will be sent directly to the financial aid office at the college.
